James K. Zenk DDS

Dr. Jim Zenk has practiced general dentistry in Montevideo since 1981. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Dental School, he and his wife, Sonja, moved back to their hometown. Their three children, Andrew, Pamela, and Rebecca, are all graduates of ISD #129 and have completed their college educations. They are now beginning new careers and families. As an empty-nester, Dr. Zenk devotes his free time to his love of the outdoors, participating in sports, volunteering at Rice Hospital Dental Clinic, and enjoying four young grandchildren.

Dr. Zenk enjoys practicing in a general dentistry setting where he can give special attention to teaching preventive dentistry to his patients. After practicing for 28 years in Montevideo, many of the patients he saw as children are now grown and bringing their children to see him. The concept of good dental health through prevention and regular maintenance care has been successful for those patients, and they want to see the same great care and preventive education carried out with their children. Developing a heritage of good dental health in Montevideo is Dr. Zenk’s primary concern as your hometown dentist.
